When I build a song, I would like to be able to do this…
After doing a search and finding all relevant beats for chorus, verses, etc……
1. Make a two measure count-off click (which I am able to do)
2. Then, add a sufficient length of one basic drumbeat (which I am able to do)
3. Next, record a basic music track with the basic drumbeat (which I am able to do)
4. Then, remove the basic drumbeat and keep the count-off clicks and music track (which I am able to do)
HERE’S THE NEW PART.
5. Now, I would play back the music track. After the two measures of count-off clicks plays, I would type the letter “i” for intro and it will start inserting an intro beat while the song plays. When the song reaches the verse, I would type a “v” for verse. When the song reaches the chorus, I would type a “c” for chorus. etc. etc. until song ends. This would let me work in real time and also avoid a lot of copy and paste. OR…instead of typing a letter maybe just click on the appropriate category of intro, verse, chorus at the precise time during the song playback.
6. I would also like to be able to check an option that asks if I would like a fill-in in front of every chorus.
Maybe EZD2 has this capability and I don’t know it?
Thanks for listening.
