“The world’s most intuitive drum production tool for songwriters. Welcome to a new era of drum production for songwriters.
Meet your new drummer!”
I own an Alesis DM10 electronic kit. When I record the samples via headphone out, they don’t mix well at all (lack EQ, compression) and sound really amateur. So I can either mess with EQ’ing those samples or I was looking at potentially buying EZ drummer + Metal expansion. I plan on actually playing live to midi, not using EZ drummer like product page title suggests as a drum sequence machine.
I’m not sure if what I need is EZ Drummer or simply a good audio sample pack of pre processed drum samples. Is their any benefit of EZ drummer in my case?
Thanks.
Hi,
EZdrummer 2 works really well for E-drummers. It doesn’t have the full control over drums and triggering that Superior 2 offers but it covers what most people need.
Turn on, plug in and play, so to speak. With great sound and easy expansion possibilities to boot. The engine and multitude of samples will give you a better, more realistic playing experience.
What you do need in addition to your module, is some kind of MIDI interface (but the DM10 can be connected directly to a computer, right?) and an Audio interface.
Some people use the headphones out from their laptop and are happy with that and some people need more control when connecting to an external mixing desk, so they use Audio interfaces with multiple outputs.
