    Hi,

it should work to just insert the demo plugin on the same track the full version was inserted. There is still an Instrument track with MIDI data on it but without the plugin?
Or did your friend build the song entirely on the internal EZdrummer 2 Song Track? If so, it needs to be dragged into Logic before exporting the Logic Project to you.

Hi Thanks for getting back to. I’m not sure what you mean by the above sentence but here’s what happened

    A) I recorded some tracks in logic and gave it to my drummer on a flash drive
    B) He took it home and recorded drum tracks on his mac in Logic using EZ drummer 2
    C) He brought it back and we loaded it back up on my computer but the drum tracks did not load

If you look at the attached pic you that tracks 15 to 22 (the EZ drum tracks) are missing. We tried loading back on to HIS mac and they all pop right up so it’s a question of MY mac and or logic (all updated) recognizing EZD2 tracks and loading them from the flash drive. THEY”RE THERE they just wont load up.

I still get a message when I open his track that says “Plug-in “EZdrummer” not available!” Even though I have EZD open and can use it in logic I can’t to figure out how to get the EZdrum trax off the flash drive. (Been trying for 5 days and have 5 days left on the demo )

    THANK YOU SO MUCH

    Hi,

there is no picture attached. Can you zip the Logic file (just the .logic one, no audio or subfolders) and attach it to a post here?

Note that EZdrummer2 and EZdrummer2 Demo will not replace each other
in projects. They have different names and IDs. That is why you get the
message “Plug-in “EZdrummer” not available!”. You have the Demo installed
but your friend uses the full product.

There is a workaround. Your friend saves the state of EZdrummer by
Menu>Project>Save Project and send you the .ezdp-file too.
You then have to start up an EZ2 Demo in that Logic project
and route it correctly and then use Menu>Project>Load Project
to recreate the state of your friends project.
