Hi!
When I add pieces from one EZX to a kit of another EZX kit what happens with the ambience channels? AFAIK the kits of each EZX have been recorde in different locatiosn so the real record ambience doesn’t match. Right? So I’d be better of to mute the EZD2 ambience and add some reverb in my DAW.
Or is the ambience “fake” using convolution reverb which would allow me to use the ambience across all pieces of my EZX collection.
Please enlighten me.

Hi,
no fake Ambience microphones, no IR’s.
The EZdrummer 2 software takes care of it as intelligently as possible and the golden rule is: use your ears.
If it sounds good, it’s all good. If it doesn’t sound good to you when mixing kit pieces from different EZX:s, don’t use it.
