How do I do a rescan? I think I’ve already done it but just to make sure..

The FAQ doesn’t help me with my issue as Toontrack doesn’t show up in my audio units.. is it normal for just soundwave to be in the Toontrack folder on my Mac? I’m sure when I’ve had it installed on other computers I was able to use DFH as a standalone unit but it’s like it hasn’t installed everything properly despite saying it has with the most up to date versions..

Pretty sure, Once you upgrade to EZD2 you won’t have EZD1 available. Best concentrate on EZD2.
Did you check you AU Component list?
Rescanning AU is done within logic and is down the bottom of the first drop down list from memory.

The second of my links above was to instructions on how to delete the AU cache, please try it.

John, I followed the instructions and my Mac couldn’t find /Users/yourname/Library/Caches/com.apple.audiounits.cache

It says that EZ Drummer 1.4.0 has successfully been scanned in the Audio Units Manager

Did you follow the instructions in the ‘how do I open EZdrummer in Logic?’ FAQ?
Is there a Toontrack entry under the AU Instruments section (as in the attached screen shot)?Logic_AU_Instruments.png

If you run the Product Manager and go to the Show Details > installation info tab, what does it look like? Can you post a screen shot?

EZ Drummer 3 Logic 9 problems.

    Hello all,

For all of you who may have just upgraded to EZDrummer3 and are still running Logic 9 (in my case 9.1.8 on a 2012 I7 OS 10.11 MacBook pro) …and may be having the perennial problem of getting Logic to recognise it on the internal Logic AU list… (my install kept defaulting to the old EZ 1.4 version) … I hope I can help.

I spent a long time uninstalling and re-installing, deleting and re-deleting cache files as advised etc. etc .. all no avail …. but in the end the solution turned out to be simple..

Logic 9 defaults to 32 bit running unless you tell it to go to 64 bit running.. as soon as I did this it instantly recognised the EZ3 AU and installed it in an additional AU instruments menu selection position in the normal mixer channel location.

    V. easy to do…. go to Applications/Logic Pro/Get info… then deselect ‘run in 32 bit mode’ tick box… this sets logic to 64 bit running.
