A friend of mine is trying to send me his own superior drummer 2’s preset to work together. But I can’t find the combined presets folder to place it up. How can I find it???? However, how can I set it up to work on it???
you don’t say what OS you’re running but…
on my Macbook, I found the custom Combined Presets were saved in separate folders per library under
“/Users/scott/Library/Application Support/Toontrack/Superior2/PresetsEZX“

Thanked by: imz03The Combined Presets Menu has an entry called ‘Manage in Finder/Explorer’. Just click it and it opens the folder.

Thank you guys! But I have another problem! XD I got the preset, i put it in the combine preset folder, but it doesn’t appear in the User Presets menu! And I also noticed that the preset is in a txt format, which is different from the others. Anyway I have an OS X 10.7.5. What can I do?? :/
OK,
what happens if you remove the ‘.txt’ extension? Is it put in the correct library folder?

It still doesn’t appear in the user presets menu. I opened SD2, then I went to Load/save, combine presets, manage in finder. Then it opened a folder and I placed it there.
Does the version of SD2 matter??? And I wanted also to ask you one thing: in my version of SD2 I have only the NY Avatar library?? Because if i open s1 drummer it comes this image:
Thanks for your help! I appreciate a lot!
Sorry!!! Not that!!! This is the image i was talking about!!!
The first image was the path of the preset. “Prova” is mine. “New” is my friend’s one.
I’m not sure I follow…
You have the latest version of Superior 2 which is cool. What I mean with the correct library is that you cannot put a Combined Preset saved with e.g. the C&V SDX as Base library and put the preset file in the Allaire Combined Presets folder. well, you can but it will not load correctly.
When you write that you open S1 Drummer, do you actually own the Superior 1 Legacy product? Or have you simply added the Avatar path to the S1 entry in the Library drop-down on the Settings page?

Well I only know that I bought Superior drummer 2 and then I received 5 installing discs. Is S1 drummer library in my purchase??? For the preset matter i didn’t understand i’m sorry where do I have to put the preset to make it work?
OK,
then you do not have S1-Drummer, so please un-check any boxes referring to those libraries in your settings.
For the preset matter is simply a question of putting the right one in the right place. Could you please post it here, as in attach it to your post? You may need to ZIP it.
That way, I may be able to tell you whether it is a Project file, a Combined Preset or a host preset.

This is the presets!! Sorry for the long wait 🙁 my pc had some problems!!!
And I also tried to reinstall the 5 CDs you send to me but nothing changed… i think i’ve been wrong setting the directory :/
Hi,
the attached file is a Superior 2 Project file, i.e. it has no exact ‘home’ location. I had to remove the .txt extension and then I could Load it via the ‘Load/Save’ Menu in Superior 2.
When it is loaded, I can choose to Save it as a Combined Preset, under the Combined Preset Menu.

Thank you very much!! 🙂 it worked!! But i have another problem :,( I searched all the boxes, the only library i found is the N. Y. avatar… I can’t find the other S1, percussionist and sdfh….how can I do….I tried also to reinstall the 5 cds but nothing changed 🙁
S1 (Percussion, DFHS, C&V) are for the discontinued Superior Drummer 1 libraries. There is nothing more to install from the 5 DVDs that ship with S2 other than the NY Avatar library.

They are discontinued. You can’t buy them. There are plenty of other SDX and EZX libraries available to purchase.
