Dear ToonTrack,
I love you guys since day one, long time (non-hacked) paying customer of your wonderful products. However I was pretty pissed off to discover that I am charged $99 for a direct download, when I could have paid $89 to Sweetwater or one of the other corporate monsters whom I don’t care to do business with! Where is the love for loyalty ToonTrack? Where is my incentive to be directly loyal to your company when a “retailer” undercuts the original product, its software not a couch so I don’t buy the bulk sales excuse, when there is no shipping involved. I await your reply to this query. Feel free to email me direct if you do not care to discuss this over the forum. I would have emailed direct but can no longer find a customer service email to hold private conversations.

Toontrack doesn’t undercut its distributors so the prices on the Toontrack Webshop are normally higher than you will find if you shop around.

Dear Mr. Sibley,
While I respect your response as a nod of commitment to your distribution partners that’s not an answer. How about incentivizing loyal customers, my point is when there are other options in drumming software wouldn’t Toon Track like to build and enhance brand loyalty and market share through loyalty based actions?
As possible compromise how about offering a “member only” web price that matches (at least) the online retailers. On a side note how much do the partnerships cost the company versus how much revenue is made from download direct sales via Toon Tracks current delivery system?
I’m in no position to discuss Toontrack’s marketing strategies nor the details of our distribution contracts here over a public forum. My reply has been the official reply to Toontrack’s webshop pricing since Toontrack has had a webshop.
