Hello….I have never used this product before and my computer skills are not the best. With that said, I created an account with toontrack and registered my product (purchased off ebay) with the serial number. The “download” started automatically, but I noticed it was doing both versions (PC and MAC) so I stopped the process and started over the MAC as the only option. Everything started out okay, but a little slow trying to do 14 downloads all at once. Then the process slowed to a crawl with some files taking 6+ hours. I stopped a few of the downloads to focus on a few at a time and left the computer on all night as I had left the house. In the morning all of the files had downloaded except for the 3 I had stopped. When I attempted to reload these files the download rate was so slow it was estimating over 2 days. Now when I attempted to reload them again a message says “the requested URL cannot be found on the site”.
In your opinion: should I delete everything that has already downloaded and start over or is there a disc available that would make this process easier for me?
I have a MAC OS X
10.6.8 using a satellite internet service and this will eventually be used with Pro Tools 9 (fingers crossed).
Any help would greatly appreciated.
Hard to advise you without knowing what it is that you bought, what you’ve downloaded and what the 3 remaining downloads are.
Most online retailers offering downloads will recommend that you acquire your downloads one-at-a-time.
…and I won’t begin to ponder how your satellite internet service treats your downloads.
Regarding the EZDrummer2 base product, there are no discs available.
If you purchased any EZX expansion sound libraries, some of them are or were available on disc,
but it sounds like you purchased downloads and not discs.
Thank G…..I have no idea what’s going on, but i’ll figure it all out somehow.
I have EZDrummer 2 purchased with a serial number card. The download of EZ2 was going well, then it slowed to a crawl. There were 8 files that appear to be licenses and such and then 7 files listed as TT206_EZdrummer2_MAC_202 and then 202-1, 202-2. 202-3 etc etc. They all started downloading at the same time. The initial downloading of EZ2 started automatically when I entered the “serial number”. I had to stop the process and when I started over it had the screen with a “download version 202.2” or something like that. Once that happened every downloading file went into slow motion mode eventually and that’s where I stand now.
Also, when I try to “reload” and download the files that were stopped from where they left off…they are starting all over again as if nothing had even started on those files. Now 2 URL’s cannot be found on the website.
Believe me, this is just my luck with computers and downloads. LOL
If you’re using HughesNet satellite Internet my guess is that you were FAPped (Fair Access Policy). May be the reason why your download speed slowed to a crawl.

Well, unless you use a Download Manager of some type, when you attempt to “reload” and download the files,
they will start all over again as if nothing had even started on those files.
Regarding what you are downloading and the 2 URLs that cannot be found(??),
there is only a single pkg file to download for the base product regardless whether you are using a MAC (dmg) or Windows PC (zip).
Any additional downloads would be the updates appropriate for your operating system.

Yes Scott….I have HughesNet. How many files should be downloading? It started as 8, then said 14, now when I log back in and click the link that G has attached it appears to be reloading some files that were already successfully downloaded, so I thought?! I just want to get the program up and running because i’ve heard such great things, but its been a struggle already. It’s all my doing, i’m sure….but why do these things have to be so difficult. LOL
Press and go works for me!
G…that is the link that i’m seeing and clicking on. Some files are restarting and some are no saying that message “URL cannot be found on this site”. UGH!!!
You should be downloading only one file (see pic below). From looking at your account it appears you have downloaded that file about 10 times. I don’t know what ‘G link’ is.

WHAT THE??!!! No wonder it’s taking 3 days to download this program. I have clicked on the link you show, but evidently it’s been 10 freaking times??!! Told you i’m a computer idiot.
Is there anything you can do on your end to help me? What files should I have downloaded and will they look like on my computer? Where will I find the installer on my MAC if I have successfully downloaded EZdrummer 2.
I gratefully appreciate the help you have already provided and whatever else you can provide for me.
Please see and follow the steps in this FAQ about how to install on a Mac:

SCOTT…..!!!!!!!! That link was all I needed to figure out exactly what I was doing wrong. It was all so simple and I made it a disaster (as usual). If you are ever in Nashville TN, I owe you a dinner!!
gseshleman….thank you for your help as well. You were the only person outside of Toon to lend a hand. The offer is extended to you as well.
Many thanks to you both. I’m sure I will have issues as I learn this amazing program, but with your help the journey will now begin!!
Much love!!!
hey guys…how many times have i tried to download this to my PC?…i still cant use my ezdrummer2…bought and paid for….
Hi rustyngrace,
did you follow the advice to right-click the ZIP archive and ‘Extract all…’ on your Desktop before running the installer?
I’d recommend first running the uninstaller, then run the installer again.
