best rock EZX for scrappy sound

Hi,

I’m looking for a garage band type of sound. Kind of loose. I don’t know, maybe like a good college band covering Nirvana or something. Or the slower punk style that’s not at speed metal speeds. What EZX would you recommend? Or just a MIDI pack, for that matter.

And I’ll echo other people’s requests for punk, although I think it could be put together with various rock and metal sounds and grooves.

Wow, I accidentally discovered “Rock Songs” MIDI pack. Sounds good. A lot of cymbals and open hi hat. Something like that might work.

Actually Basic Rock has some nice grooves. I just got my EZD 2 fired up for the first time, and I’m pleasantly surprised. I figured things would sound good but still kind of stiff. Not the case — this isn’t your father’s drum machine! (or, rather, my old drum machine from the 1980s.)

Dang, I just discovered previewing Web Shop MIDI through EZD 2. This is better than porn!
