Hello. I am a Korg NanoPad2 owner and used the serial number included with the NanoPad to download the EZDrummer Lite disk image. (I used Firefox 34.0.5 to download the package.) I have installed and authorized EZDrummer Lite and Toontrack Solo from their respective installers in the package.
There is a third installer on the disk image, the EZX Cocktail installer, that will not launch on my computer. I am using a MacBook Pro with an Intel Core i7 processor and running OS 10.8.5. The error message that I get says:
> “EZX Cocktail Installer.app” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should eject the disk image.
When I saw this message, I opened up Apple’s Disk Utility and verified the downloaded disk image. The verify completed successfully, which would seem to show that the image is not corrupt. Nevertheless, I downloaded a second copy of the package using Firefox, in case there was something wrong with the first one. The second copy gave the same results, and also passed verification in Disk Utility.
Then I tried for a third time by using Safari to download the package. Again the package passes Disk Utility’s verify operation, but contains a copy of EZX Cocktail that will not open.
Can anyone suggest a fix or workaround that would help me to install the EZX on my system? Thank you for your time.
Hi,
just downloaded the EZdrummer Lite dmg and tried to run it on Yosemite, which worked, so it shouldn’t be a OS incompatible thing.
Is it possible for you to try to download it on another computer and run it? You do not need to actually install it but see that it opens.

Thanked by: John E MarlerHi John. Thanks for the quick reply.
I downloaded the disk image onto another computer, then opened it on my MacBook Pro (MBP) and ran the EZX Cocktail Installer. It worked!
I don’t understand why my MBP had trouble with the download, but in any case I’m grateful for the help! Cheers.
I also have a problem installing Cocktail. I run OSX Yosemite and when trying to install from the DVD it said I had to “upgrade” to 10.4 or higher. It said the same thing for EZ drummer but for that I found the download-file on this site and was able to install this successfully, but I cannot find a download-file for Cocktail.
Is there such a file available ?
Hi,
there should be a separate installer for it under the ‘Updates’ tab, if you click your ‘EZdrummer’ product in your Toontrack account.
