Hi everybody,
After watching many videos: I love what I’m hearing from Superior Drummer! Actually, hearing that I decided that with Superior Drummer, e-drums are good enough for me.
So, I’m interested in what are the best (mid tier, cca 1400$ = 1400Eur in Europe) e-drums I should get to trigger Superior Drummer. Since sound will be coming from SD, most important factors are feel, dynamics and responsiveness. From the ones I could try in drum shops, I liked the Roland with the mesh pads and Yamaha DTX silicon rubber pads: kits like Roland TD11kv and Yamaha DTX 542. DTX pads feel better from the two.
Could you tell me:
– which of the two triggers SD better and what is the difference?
– what additional equipment (if any) do I need to connect the drum module to a PC? The modules in question are Roland TD11 and Yamaha 502. I saw Roland has a midi output, whereas Yamaha has USB to host.
I apologize if this is a repost, I searched around the forum and couldn’t find a direct answer.
TD11 also has USB to Host plus midi out. Both will do about the same i would believe it is personal preference.
