How large (or small) was the file that you downloaded?
When I download the installer from my Toontrack account, it is 1.2GB.

Has the EZdrummer.dll file been moved since it was first installed? Moving it would cause the 1.4.0 update to not work. Or, if you’re using the 32-bit version when you installed the 64-bit update. Or vise versa. What is the exact version number on your EZD interface? What are your system specs (OS, DAW, etc)?

Please download the full EZdrummer product installer 1.3.2 from your Toontrack account. Run it. Confirm that your EZD interface shows 1.3.2. Then run the 1.4.0 update. If all successful, your Metal EZX should load properly.

Try uninstalling the version on your computer and start installing with 1.3.2.

scott…when this comes up remember that the first version made a dll that went into the main VST folder i found it and the 1.4.0 dll simply swapped it out with a copy from the toontrack folder that i found while looking for ezdrummer.dll files…..and blammo the METAL! works no as well as ez being updated to 1.4.0

finally…..that was way too much to stomach!CoolLaughSmileSurprisedWink
