As a recent newbie to drum VI’s may I just say what an incredible product you have here. I speak as a drummer, composer and engineer with over twenty years’ experience and (I think) a discerning ear for these things. I’m afraid to admit that I was one of those “purists” who thought VI’s would never be good enough for me, and that a VI could never sound totally convincing. I was wrong. I record a lot of stuff that needs classic, period drum sounds; I had to pick myself up off the floor when I heard the Apple Hotel demo on your site!
The sheer breadth and quality of sounds available is exceptional. Playing stuff in on an E-kit is so inspiring (never thought I’d hear myself saying that!), and the included midi is great for sketches while away from the studio. I would recommend anyone to download the demo and try it so they know what they’ve been missing out on… To those people: don’t underestimate the flexibility, power, or total authenticity of this thing.
