After checking out EZD2 for a while, really like the upgraded product. Here’s a suggestion for further improvements in the future. It’s actually a feature I love from Logic Pro”s Drummer. It’s the ability to have the kick and snare intelligently “follow” an assigned midi track in the project. It works ridiculously well in Logic.
Like other users, I usually start with a scratch drum track and create the after other parts are in. With EZD2, I have found that it is possible to drag a Cubase bass midi file into its search box, and it does a decent job of finding a groove that is comparable. Sometimes this works well – it depends on which midi notes the bass is playing, and how they translate to drum sounds. So my first request is to allow EZD2 to look at a midi bass part and recognize all the notes as kick and snare.
When you choose a pattern from the library, however, the bass and drum players are not really locked together, and the result is still the drum machine effect. It would be great to simply drag your whole bass track into the song creation window (maybe add a second track under the original) and have the basic groove adapt and respond to the nuances of the bass track.
After loving this feature in logic, I really miss it when I work in Cubase 7.5 – the DAW I much prefer.
great suggestion +1

Thanks for the ideas, you have a nice thought there and we understand that it would be usable – the idea is noted
For now, you can use Tap2Find and tap the kick in the same pattern as the bass plays and you should get descent results.
