i paid £ 60 for the upgrade but did not like it. the downgrade process was a nightmare . my ez 1 reauthorised finally solved by reinstalling the original disc the download from the site would download the prog but with no sounds? reasons for not liking it
1 the kits sounded very unnatural the bass drums all sounded like old linn drums
2the interface window is far to small to attempt editing on the scale you propose
3 I can write a song structure in the daw quicker and can see what iam doing
4the search by genre /type/beats /beat tap tempo is designed for non musicians normally a good jumping off point but not inspirational basically 50 ways to the same beat in your library
5the added library is on the meagre side re quantity and diversity
6the live recording overdub is still subject to a mouse click and you end up in the piano roll editor anyway to get it right
7 the copy paste function was very confusing and old hat/ no drag and drop
8 export function midi/wav great for collaboration but not needed in a solo project situation where and why would i need this
9 overcomplicated / hidden menus to many options
10tambourine shaker function unfathomable i thought it would be a smart groove enhancer
reasons for liking
1 ability to tune
2 live edit in loop add /remove but not intuitive or easy to use
3cymbals were good
very underwhelming but the guy with the beard was convincing me to have faith in it .ez 1 is easy and quick all you needed to do was add live overdub editing in a looper function/plus piano roll editor add a tune/velocity function and a mixer with compression /overdrive . better luck next time an expensive mistake .
is it true if i buy an expansion pack it won’t work in ez 1 that you need ez 2 to support it /
No. It’s not true. The current EZXs will work fine in EZD 1. Any NEW EZXs that are released will only work with EZD 2 though.

you got it right first time round .ez 2 is a mirror of the functions we do in the daw anyway ? and the leading hand is done on the guitar when composing in loops not the other way round this is your fundamental flaw , we don’t compose drum tracks . we compose songs and thats why we love ez 1
