Hi folks – some of this is covered in a thread of mine in EZD help, but I figured this was a more logical place for it.
First of all – absolutely brilliant update. Loving it, loving it. For icing on the cake:
1. Swing Quantize. Can’t seem to find any swing control or options. Would love at least a couple of basic swing options alongside straight and triplets in the quantize options.
2. Recording. At the moment, it’s not possible to record straight into the Edit Play Style page, would be a great time saver if this were enabled.
3. Amount knob (in Edit Play Style). Super-useful, already, would also love a very few ultra-basic stock patterns as well (like a much simpler subset of the patterns in percussion). So, say, on a ride cymbal you might have the musically intelligent 4 option as currently offered, plus 4 on downbeat and 4 on backbeat. Obviously you couldn’t have too many or else it would get pretty unwieldy, but a few of the very basics on 4 and 8 would be great for super quick stuff like adding hi hat pedals or bell rides on 4s etc.
Thanks guys, its a killer product already but… gotta ask

Thanks Henrik – those three would be terrific (and of the three, I think swing quantize is the most urgent).
One more – first time I tried Song Creator I was blown away with how spot on accurate and usable it was. However, a few times I’ve tried it subsequently its been entirely the opposite, I couldn’t see how it made the suggestions it did. I can’t predict what sort of grooves work best with it yet. Are the algorithms still a work in progress? Any tips for getting the best chance of good results?
One final specific (very small thing) – in the metalheads exx, I’d love it if the triggered kick and snare were still enabled if switching out the instrument components – so the normal real instrument changes but the triggered one remains.
Thanks thanks.
I’d love a pan control for cymbals and toms. Would be more useful than pitch to me personally.
I have a really hard one too……being able to use “Del” for deleting a clip
I’d also like to know more about bleed options. It’s a bit confusing to me. Seems that with “basic” there should be bleed controls for the snare/kick/toms with the cymbals staying as is.
