Hi Everyone,
Just want to say that I was slightly skeptical purchasing EZD2 since I am a heavy SD2 user. But the more I saw the lead up videos and all the song creating tools that existed, I was being persuaded. (Good job Toontrack marketing, thanks! )
Anyway. this was mentioned fairly breifly in the vids and not really PROMOTED like I think it should for the skeptical SD2 user, but once you get EZD2 loaded up into your DAW and also load an instance of SD2, you can midi out EZD2 through SD2 so you can trigger the SD2 kits. This is brilliant in that you can use all the incredible EZD2 features for creating grooves and ideas while triggering SD2 kits.
Don’t get me wrong, the kits in EZD2 are no slouch. They sound fantastic and serve the purpose they are intended to serve, but I am a sucker for Music City and Rock Warehouse SDXs.
So if you are hesitant but think the song creating tools are awesome… SD2 can still be a part of the work flow WHILE using EZD2s aweomse inovations. I suspect that these awesome features (at least I hope) will be included in SD3?? So if you are unlike me and can’t wait, maybe patience will persist and we will see these in the future in SD3. But seriously, who can wait!
