Hi,
Are you guys planning on sampling octobans?
It is such a shame you don’t have them. I have to use Native Instruments’ Abbey Road 80s Drums because it is (to my knowledge) the only VSTi featuring them.
But the quality of your stuff is just way higher, and I can’t imagine how cool it would be to incorporate them as as an expansion in Superior Drummer (just got the Latin Percussion one but it’s still not what I’m looking for).
Anyway, I hope you’ll think about it, I’d be the first buyer 🙂
Keep up the EXCELLENT work.
Nick
I think that is an absolute MUST!!!!!!! – I don’t like the Native Instruments Octobans (they are far too toppy) and there (as far as I know) no one else does an Octoban set (high or low) – The best sounding Octobans I have ever heard on record must be Simon Phillips – they are amazing!
Please please create a full Octoban set SDX
I think you can get some cool octaban-like sounds with some of the toms in the metal foundry. I forget which ones it is, but i’ll check and get back on the right tom to use from TMF
S2.3 NY Vol 2/Music City/Metal Foundry/Evil Drums/dfh Superior Claustrophobic/Electronic/Twisted Kit/Metal Machine
For information, Steinberg actually sampled Simon Phillips’ kit, including the low set of Tama octobans: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_RpQDjES_vU
Sounds good enough but I can’t be arsed to buy the Groove Agent + Simon Phillips library + their lousy USB dongle.
Toontrack, that’s the way to go, do something about this already 🙂
