track adding with grooves?

Everytime I insert a new groove it brings up a track right under it, whats going on??

It is a preference in Cubase you need to tweak.

Preferences – Midi – Midi File

Uncheck – Auto Dissolve Format 0

Uncheck – import to Instrument Track
