Hello,
I am new to all this and would like to change the sounds of my DM6 kit to the vintage sound kit. I was wondering what the easiest way for me to do this would be? And is there a way to try before I buy? From my reading I gather I may have to install a new ASIO driver to get the latency reduced, as I am using the default soundcard in a macbook pro. Is there an EZDrummer Lite download I can try just to see if I can get the midi acceptable before purchasing? Would there be anything else I’d need? Where can I find instructions?
thanks,
Dennis
Hi,
there is no EZdrummer Demo download, I’m afraid. EZdrummer Lite is a special version bundled with certain hardware.
EZdrummer is supported for E-drum use with Toontrack’s free host software; Toontrack solo. In other hosts, you will likely have limited response with E-drums.
Just to get you going, I actually think you can use the MacBook Pro’s internal Audio card, if it’s a fairly new MBP. I can set mine to 64 samples Buffer size with Toontrack solo and that should give a round-trip I/O latency of about 3ms, depending on which MIDI interface you settle for.

John
