Hey everybody
I would like to hear your opinion on which midi packs to use to record doom metal. Which ones worked best for you?
I incorporate some doom influences in black and death metal songs, from time to time.
I was wondering, does the Ballad Midi pack work for this kind of stuff?
Btw, is Toontrack planning a midi pack for Doom Metal, also? I think we’ve had enough fast paced stuff for now…

Hello! I actually bought Ballad pack for doom/slow metal purposes but it is not useful for that. I think I haven’t been able to use any of the beats from it when doing my metal song writing. Now Toontrack released a Black Metal Midi pack but it seems to have mostly fast stuff even it is said to have also doomy beats. The sample clips were all fast stuff – it would be nice to hear some doom clips from it before buying.
If there is some day Doom Metal midi pack – I will buy it without a doubt!
