I Love the sounds of SD2. They are truly ‘superior’
I have been using program for a while now. Nothing is perfect, but please take note of these problems with the program. These are my gripes that I feel get in the way of making this software ‘spectacular’ instead of ‘great’. Please use this as constructive criticism.
Anything getting in the way of/delaying the creative process is getting in the way of the musician and their music. Ease and simplicity of use should be the on the software designers top priority list. I am referring to the grooves window.
Please look to see how others companies do it..especially Addictive drums. For example, if I want to see a list of JUST all ‘rock’ style grooves in 4/4 time to audition, I can do that with a click or two in AD. Or, a list of all library groves in 5/4 time without mulling through and scrolling a myriad of choices. Or, let’s say I wish to see all 4/4 grooves, then drag and drop them into a favorite audition window on the SD library interface to later choose which drag and drop into my project. Or, I want to see only beats in 4/4 time..no fills or intros. This is what I mean by ease of use regarding the grooves library. Please take this concept into serious consideration.
Also, the font size/interface size is just too small. For some users this is not a problem. For me it is a major gripe. Have at least have 2 choices between regular or larger interface/font size. Many other companies have an option for this with their software interfaces. Why not superior?
Please take these points into consideration with your next major revision, as I feel they would really help many users.
