Hey guys.
I just bought an Alesis MIDI kit, which came with a serial for EZDrummer Lite.
First of all, I have to say what a fantastic piece of software! It’s SO responsive! Even a cheapo MIDI pad I already had plays MUCH more responsively with this software! Good job guys!
I’m not seeing an incentive to upgrade (especially as an upgrade is more expensive than the full product from other selllers!), and so my question is: can I use the EZX packs with my LITE version? Or do I have to have a full EZDrummer before I start using the EZX packs?
Many thanks, and again, fantastic piece of kit!
Dave
EZXs require the full version of EZdrummer. You should be able to find the upgrade for cheaper than the Toontrack webshop. If not, I would just purchase the full version (shop around for the best price) and not bother with the ‘upgrade’ path.

Hey, don’t know if you have upgraded yet, but http://www.musiciansfriend.com/ sells the upgrade for $69. I just did a day or two back.
Cool, thanks Keith!
Thinking about the end result, is there much real difference between the $69 Musician’s Friend upgrade and the $69 Amazon full version? Pros / cons for each?
Thanks again for the tip! We closed on the house today, so it’ll be moving followed by drum installation over the next few weeks 🙂

No, both result in you having a Full product with no differences between them.
