I’m loving my TD4 (I’m a rudimentary player) and SD sounds great – all the SDX kits.
But SD does not currently recognize the chokes on the hi-hat, ride or crash (I can hear ’em when I listen through just the TD4 brain, but not via MIDI into PT).
I don’t know a lot about MIDI – except that it all worked pretty darn well just opening it up in PT and playing! I just dialed the sensitivity up on the pads a touch and started playing and everything sounded great and just “worked”.
Is this a matter of the TD4 not sending a recognized MIDI note for the choke?
Is it a simple matter of telling my TD4 to send a different (the correct) note for the choke in each instance?
I don’t know if I have to tell the TD4 brain to do something different, or SD to do something different. Help? Can anyone explain it to me “like I’m a 5 year old” (I’m 45 years older than that, but not re: MIDI).
