Hi everyone,
First time post. I’m new to the whole e-drum thing, and I’m having trouble getting an older TD-10 to trigger sounds from S2.3.
Here’s my gear.
TD-10 (non-expanded) module
Audiofire 2 Sound Card (I have a midi cable running from the TD-10 out to Audiofire MIDI in; the card is connected to my computer via Firewire)
Old (5-6 years Macbook Pro w/ 2 gigs RAM)
*All of the firmware is newly updated
I can’t trouble shoot where I’m having the problems, but this is what I think.
a. I have successfully triggered sounds in Garage band from the Roland pads.–>I’m transmitting MIDI from the Roland module to my computer.
b. I can hear S2.0 sounds triggered from my computer by clicking on them. –> I’m transmitting sound from my computer to my headphones (which are run out of the Audiofire)
So, I assume I have a mapping problem, but here is where I am getting confused. I have selected the E-Drum MIDI mapping preset.
1. The Roland Snare midi note is D1 which I have changed to match Superior’s note, but no sound is heard.
2. I click on the learn articulation button, but I don’t seem to be learning any of the MIDI notes. I’ll hit all of the pads on my drumkit and Superior doesn’t seem to learn any of them.
Any thoughts?
Thanks a ton
PS. I’ll be posting this question in the V-drum forum as well. No need to answer twice.
Are you using Solo?
It sounds like MIDI info isn’t making it to S2. Have you selected the Audiofire MIDI input in the Options->MIDI Devices menu in Solo?

Can you post a pic of the MIDI Devices window?

Is this what you are looking for?
Thanks so much for the quick reply. It means a lot after 2 hours of getting next to nowhere.
The box on the left needs to be ‘checked’.
