EZdrummer seems like an incredible product and I want it. But first I have a few questions that need to be answered.
1. My recording software is Cakewalk’s Guitar Tracks Pro Version 3. It does not have midi. As far as I can tell, I would need to use something like Reaper to build my drum tracks. After I have completely programmed the drum track, how would I move it from Reaper to Guitar Tracks Pro? And will I lose some of the sound quality in doing this?
2. I’ve seen two ways to get EZdrummer: the actual physical cd or the download. Is there a difference in sound quality? I’m worried that the download will not sound as good.
3. I might be getting a new PC later this year. Am I able to transfer the EZdrummer software, whether I have the cd or get the download, to my new computer without having to pay again?
Thanks in advance.
Once you “buy” ,it is the license you are really buying plus the sounds
You can download (transfer) everything again later if you need to for the exact reason you explained.
Your TT accout is where you can download the Sounds and the updates.Alot of us who use SD2 still buy downloads for EZ to run in SDs
The quality of the samples is the same from CD or the download 16 bit 44.1 i for the EZ format
SD2 format is 24 bit but will play either but its usually larger amount of samples so cant be downloaded but rest assured TT’s downloads are a fast secure way of getting the samples, you cant walk into any olde shop at 2am but you can with the Download.
I have all of them.
Thanks juicy. That answers two of my questions. Let me add another one here:
Will EZdrummer work with Cakewalk’s Guitar Tracks Pro 4? I believe it has midi, but not sure. Perhaps I should just upgrade to that. Need confirmation first.

Under EZ drummer compatibility i dont see any support but check it yourself CGT pro 5 perhaps will work.
TT Solo is free and hosts EZ .
I can only echo juicy in regards to Guitar track 4. If it isn’t on the ‘official compatible list’, it hasn’t been tested by Toontrack or any of us techs so we can’t offer any advice on whether it works or not.
All hosts on the ‘compatible list’ work fine and we offer full tech support for their use with Toontrack products.

I admire the tech support because they are very accommodating. Never fail to help me whenever I ask something.
