Everyone probably asks this question but I’m quite nooby and couldn’t find anything. I just purchased a Midimate II midi to usb and EZdrummer, and just tried to connect it to my friends Roland TD 9 electric drum kit, I’m using a mac so it’s not audio driver problems, but I put it through Garageband and everything is installed and it works, but when it’s play it only picks up some of the notes and doesn’t register some and yeah, there’s no delay but it just doesn’t register a lot of the notes that is played, and I want to record it for our death metal band so there’s a lot of constant drums and it only picks up half of it. So sorry if this is the wrong place to ask but yeah I just spent almost 300 dollars on this today so I kinda would like it to work haha.
Thanks heaps. 🙂
Make sure the Dynamic in the Parameter box for your instrument track is set at a neutral position as there could be a dynamics issue.
Not sure by your explanation, also could be your Ram is Ez fully loaded ,test it by perhaps playing a midi file from the Ez browser .
If all that is well then its still may be an issue with your prefs in Logic like what size i/o buffer are you running at.
If your host does not register all hits sent to it, I’d start with the ESI support.
If it’s a matter of EZdrummer not picking up recorded notes sent to it, please start with making sure you are updated and follow user juicy’s advice.
