Just wanted to jump on and give Toontrack some much deserved credit for EZ Keys. Having been a long time customer of Toontrack for Superior and EZ Mix, I jumped all over EZ Keys without even so much as sniffing the demo first. I took a huge leap of faith after watching the videos, and trusting the Toontrack brand for delivering quality products!
As a guitar-first songwriter, EZ Keys was EXACTLY what the doctor ordered. While I can hold my head above water as it comes to playing basic keyboard arrangements, I am in no way an accomplished musician when it comes to tickling the ivory. As a songwriter, I have many tracks that are just a quality keyboard/piano arrangement away from being complete. EZ Keys is the answer.
After buying it yesterday, I immediately got to work using EZ Keys as a VST in Sonar X1. Rock solid stability that I’ve come to expect from Toontrack was there throughout. I was impressed how easy it was to manipulate simple chord progressions within the interface. I must confess, I started out by sampling the stock midi arrangements, then dragging and dropping into my VST midi tracks within Sonar – as I typically rarely ever arrange midi in song format inside the VST. Well, EZ Keys changed that for me. The interface was easy enough for me to manipulate my midi data right inside the VST, and didn’t have to drag a single clip outside of the VST. In addition, I was able to open EZ Keys in Sonar to send the arranagements out to MIDI tracks on other synths to really add some wild textures and combos. I was impressed at how versatile the stock midi “songs” were, because on the surface it doesn’t appear that there is much there, but these clips are much longer than what you would find in Superior.
I can’t wait to see where Toontrack takes this program! I would encourage anyone on the fence to jump in! It’s an AWESOME program that is well worth the money spent!
Thanks for your post. We are very happy that you like it!

Id like to ask you to read this thread i started: http://www.toontrack.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=125086
Maybe im wrong, but it seems you have a different perception of EZKeys than the poster that replied to me. Id like to hear your thoughts on this.
Like i said, i use Band-in-a-Box as a tool to ,for instance, add a mandolin to a song i wrote. I have this progression say C-F-G, type it in BiaB and the mando track will be played. The soundfile i drag into Logic and i incorporate into my already recorded tracks.
Would you say i could use EZKeys in this way for pianoparts? Or would you agree with the poster that said its a little complicated?
Cheers
I’ve only spent a couple of hours with it learning how to use it. I have to say this is a great tool and i cant wait for more midi packs.
WELL DONE
