    WOW
I got it for 67 bucks so think how much your beating me.lol and love it
All these kits have specific character. This is nearly boxy but in a great way.
Americana has some excellent character, fatter than classic and nashville.a very well recorded kit.
The Snares on Metal Machine are Very Worthy and worth the entry fee alone although the hat channel even at full on is very soft.(seems Wrong)
    Im just snappin them up.

Fatter than Nashville? Sounds pretty good to me. Honestly, I’m not crazy about the Nashville kit other than the toms, and even the toms can be a bit over the top for a lot of things. I usually fall back on the Vintage Rock toms for things. But for the $29-$30, I think picking up Americana is sort of a no brainer?

I bought Americana from audiodeluxe.com on Friday.
Couldn’t resist at that price (and the purple sparkle finish in the screen shots didn’t hurt either…..)
I’ll be downloading and installing tomorrow.
And to think I got all of it for the price of just the midi content alone!
…not to mention for LESS than the price of some PRESETS for ez mix (yes, I too am a bit disgruntled with that whole issue!)
If I’m good, my wife might let me pick up another expansion pack this month. I don’t have Nashville, any metal expansions, #1 hits, or funkmasters.

I should probably cool it on the drums, though, and save up for ez keys

I almost picked up Music City last week from Audio Deluxe for 74.99, but I talked myself it of it. I don’t think I need it. But the next time i see it at 74.99 I will again be tempted for sure. For now, within the course of 3 days or so I picked up Metal Machine and Americana.

One thing to remember with Americana is the full Snare Rimshot is on the E note unlike most other EZx that have it at velocity 127 on the D note.
Same as Evil Drums SDX and the Classic EZX.

I noticed that yesterday in regards to the Classic actually. I was trying out some grooves and comparing them between Classic and Nashville, and I was like… huh… then I realized what was happening. Thanks for the heads up about Americana.

Americana is pretty badass. It’s very in your frikkin face in a good way. Much ballsier than I expected. 29.99 was indeed a no-brainer for this.

Oh so true. But I really am thrilled with Americana. I’m glad I didn’t hesitate. I also picked up Metal Machine a day or so before, and for rock/punk/whatever that EZX is awesome too.

The only drum purchase regret I have over the past few months is Steven Slate Drums 4.0. Don’t get me wrong, the drums themselves sound awesome, and most of the time, they instantly sit in a mix even better than the Toontrack EZX stuff. But I’m not crazy about the cymbals. And there isn’t any sampled choked cymbals. They use MIDI note-off to simulate chokes, and that just sounds horrendous. The biggest shiv in the side about Slate Drums is there is no license transfer aloud. So once you got it, you got it. The new Slate 4.0 player has been crazy unstable as well, though the newer version 1.086 seems a little more solid. Nowhere near the stability you get with EZdrummer or Superior Drummer though.

Let’s face it, it’s an addiction. The next wave of Toontrack EZX’s will probably suck me in yet again. Resistance is futile.

As was the case w/ Nashville EZX, the name made me pass over it. Until last night when I checked it out and saw there was a Ludwig kit in there. That got my interest. 😛

Nevertheless, I’m still hesitating. I think they use the word “intimate” in their description, which probably is at opposite ends of what I like in drums. I like big sounding drums w/ relatively big room sound. Unfortunately, the demos here don’t really help, but to be honest, if I’d rely strictly on demos, I would have passed over all the extensions I bought.

So, Skilltrip, when you say “ballsier”, I take it that, like Nashvile, this pack can deliver the goods for other genres right? When I think Americana, I think understated drums, not really my type of thing…

The Americana room aint big but its not claustrophobic small , some serious mid range tone.Only two kicks .For my money Metal Machine has more modern tone of those two and is arguably more versatile, Americana has a loose raw less produced tone although you can tell it is well recorded too.
Both are good value if your Quick.I think the price has already gone up a bit.

Thanks, Juicy. Raw is even better by my standards – and midrange is much welcome. Thanks for your reply!

Anyone in here got SD from audiodeluxe.com? it’s going for $169 (crossgrade) together with the NY studios pack. Is this really legit? Just asking, cause i noticed you guys only talked about expansion kits. How come they’re this cheap…
