I built a custom preset using drums from both the Metal Foundry and Avatar studios. I want to use this kit across the board on 10 different songs. It says in the Memory and Status that the Total for my kit is 802 MB, and it loads right around there. Sometimes it goes to like 805 MB or something like that. In 24bit mode, a kit this size loads with no problem. Whenever I open another project, however, and try to load the user preset I created for this kit, it says the Total for the kit is of course 802 MB. However, as it’s loading it goes way over that number. It goes up over 1600 MB, causing my computer to crash. I know I can work in 16-bit or cache mode to keep that from happening. That’s not the issue. I’m just trying to figure out why the kit is supposedly only 802 MB, yet it loads over twice that in a different project. Shouldn’t the kit always need about the same memory to run from song to song. Even though different drums are used, they’re all basic drum configurations. Nothing crazy different, drum-wise, going on from project to project.

Apart from the fact it’s been a month since his original post, why on earth would someone who hasn’t even mentioned Dell, want to visit their support? And moreover it’s a software issue involving some kinda config conflict in his host DAW environment by the looks of it, how would Dell be able to help there? Do they suddenly have specialists we should all know about?
No, clearly not, so stop spamming….
