Hello everyone I’m new around here so I was hoping I could get some advice for a few basic yet important things!
As in the title I’m looking for a product to create drums for heavy metal tracks. I was told about drumkit from hell but then I went throughout the website and there are quite a few applications for metal!
Considering that I play a variety of heavy metal genres (classic, thrash, death, stoner, black, doom and so on) which one should I go for?
Metal Machine, Metalheads, Drumkit from hell or Metal foundry? If it helps here are of my favourite bands: Opeth, Death, Nevermore, Rotting Christ (album AEALO), Melechesh (album The Epigenesis) (don’t like the early black metal sound kind of “lets be rebels and make the most hideous quality recording”)
I understand that Metal foundry only works with Superior Drummer which makes the final budget higher. But lets just say I’ve theoretically got the money so there is no budget question.
My second question might be noobish but I just want to make sure. Ez drummer is bootable inside Logic, can we use the piano roll or the score to write the drum tracks the same way you would do it with Logic’s drumkits (which I guess all Logic users are quite aware that they sound pretty damn bad). How does it work, do you like set up your kit with your desired toms, cymbals etc. in Ez drummer and then you just write the rhythms in Logic?
I’m not a professional but I like doing a proper work.
Thanks in advance!

Yes works well.Once a kit is loaded as Instrument track you can program how you want like normal includng piano roll.

Ok cool dude that sounds pretty simple.

Superior and MF, nothing’s pre-processed you can get a bunch of preset packs (use sparingly, you hear the bulb pack all over Youtube) you can create any manner of sounds. store your own kits and not potentially be limited by pre-processed libraries intended for more ease of use and for those not so happy with deep drum-sound editing.

Thanks dude! Well presets in all applications that I have used so far, like guitar rig, logic and so on don’t seem to sound any good so I’m not surprised!
Well I guess I have more than 50 gb to spare to install those two!
