I am thinking about buying a few expansion packs but i’m unsure how they work. I already have SD but the expansions i’m looking at are for ezdrummer. I’m using a Roland E drum kit to trigger my samples in SD, will I still be able to do this? I was wondering how the expansions for ezd work in sd? Will I just get the samples and they plug into SD? Can I use the x-drum feature with these samples? Should I not waste my money and just buy SD expasnions? Is there a difference in quality, for example, The Metal Foundry Vs. Metalheads EZX?
EZX libraries intergrate into Superior Drummer seamlessly. I use them quite a bit and I feel they sound great. You can use them as Xdrums without any issues. You load the libraries just like you would a SDX library – from the drop down list.
The difference is the way the libraries are record and the bit depth. EZXs are 16 bit as opposed to SDX libraries which are 24 bit. I couldn’t swear that on any given day I could tell one from another in a project.
