Download the latest update (1.3.0) for your platform and there are both 32-bit and 64-bit installers in the .zip.

Thank you. I’ll check it out. Does it also make the add on’s 64 bit, or do I need to download each in a 64 bit format. I have Nashville, Vintage, and DFH.

    Hi,

expansions are not OS dependant, only the plugins, so they are neither 32-bit or 64-bit.
They do have updates available though, in your Toontrack account.

Does EZDrummer have 64bit support and how do I install it in 64bit? I have Win7 64bit. When I started the install process, it wanted to install the program to the C:ProgramFiles(x86) where all the 32bit programs go. I redirected it to install to my audio drive because that’s where I wanted the sounds to be. It’s in 32bit because I can’t access it in Nuendo 5 64bit, but fortunately I have Nuendo 4 32bit which does. Also, any chance of getting the samples in 48k.
    Thanks,
    Parris

    Part187,

Have you installed the latest update for EZdrummer from your Toontrack account? Version 1.3.0 includes both 32-bit and 64-bit installers.

The sounds are 44.1kHz and if you work at 48kHz, EZdrummer will need to sample rate convert them.

    From the FAQ:

EZdrummer was designed to operate best at 44.1K. It can of course be used at any sample rate but the engine will have to recalculate the samples to compensate for the resulting shift in pitch.

In order to guarantee no loss of quality the above procedure requires non trivial computation and loading time will rise significantly, by up to a factor 3 to 6, depending on computer resources available.

I installed the file that I was directed to download after purchasing the product.
I just download the Win_130 and EZX Latin Percussion_Up files. Do I run the 64bit installer in the win130 folder? I’m in the middle of a project and I didn’t want to screw the whole thing up and crash the program.
    Thanks,
    Parris

Well, personally, I never update anything in my audio computer when I’m in the middle of a project.

Having said that, yes, you would run the 64-bit installer for EZdrummer. It will install the 64-bit version of EZD. By default, it would install in C:Program FilesVstPluginsToontrack64bit. You then need to make sure that your hosts are looking for it in that location.

I just installed Windows 7, but discovered the version I had was only 32 bit. My comptuer is a Dell Core 2 Duo with 4 Gig of Ram (which if I installed the 64 bit version, I’d probably upgrade to 8 Gig).

With XP support going by the wayside, and many companies (Like Presonus for one) is no longer making drivers for XP, I wanted to upgrade to Windows 7.

I mainly use Reaper, EZ and Superior Drummer, EZ Mix, and some IK Multimedia and Native Instruments stuff.

Im I really hurting myself for keeping the Win 7 32 bit, or should I hold off on the 64 bit version. Honestly, is I keep my hardware the same, am I going to see any benefits of 64 vs 32 bit?

Last question, I’ve swapped so much stuff around that I’m starting to worry about my activations. Once I put in my new HD, should I NOT have to authorize the PC Again? It’s the same comptuter with a new OS and HD. However, if I change from Core 2 Duo E6600 to the Core 2 Duo E8500, would that cause my activation not to work anymore?

Sorry for all the questions. I’ve got someone coming over in a few nights to record, and I really need to get this squared away. Toontrack is currently my most important plugin, so I wanted to see if there was any performance advantage from 32 to 64 bit. Thanks a million!!

The original DFHS never had a 64-bit version.

What OS are you using? Are you getting error messages when you try to install your products?
