I know it was brought up before and people made comments about power and saturation. But I don’t believe there’s a good reason there is no EZDrummer app. Especially when the guys from Drumagog have an app which incredibly realistic. Their app sounds amazing but the interface, options and overall usability suffer greatly.
The UI would stay the same, same drum layout, same mixer (essential), same sounds. It could come with one or two kits then we could add kits through in-app purchases. What’d you need to add is MIDI import/export, AudioCopy/Paste and a sequencer. When recording, you could either use the drum kit to bang out patterns or manually do it in the sequencer. I don’t think the sequencer would need many options. Just a few, such as quantizing, velocity/attack. See the sequencer in the app “iAmDrums.” I think that app is a great model of how the Toontrack app could be.
I know there are a ton of drum apps, but with the name and reputation of Toontrack, it would have no problem standing out and becoming the benchmark.
