Sorry, nothing like that in either EZ or Superior. Maybe check out Beatstation and see if it could be a better alternative?

EZdrummer comes with midi grooves that have live feel. Most are performed by real drummers.
However, you do need a basic daw that can handle midi and software plug-ins.

The samples are him hitting the drum once and the preset patterns are his midi triggers?

The samples are him hitting the drum once…

Hehe… The process is a bit more involved that having a drummer come in and hit the drum once…ask Chris Whitten…

Anyways, Futureman is responsible for the sounds of the Jazz EZX but the MIDI grooves are played/performed by ‘David Haynes, Atlanta, GA, USA & by Morgan Ågren and Per Mikaelsson, Toontrack Studios, Umea Sweden.’

So really then D Haynes is triggering Futureman hitting the drum once (he looked to be hitting it once on the takes :D)…  How much is Futureman making out of this and D Haynes should get a bigger cut!

    Tongue in cheek… sorry.

It does look good tho, I play piano but don’t want to be too involved with midi anymore thats all….  I end up having too much fun playing drums all day.

You can program performances yourself using a midi controller, like a keyboard or dedicated percussion controller.
You keep saying “hitting the drum once” somewhat humorously, but just to be clear, each kit piece (drum or cymbal) is sampled hundreds of times to make up a realistic response to the drum or cymbal being played back by EZDrummer – – similar to microscopically sampled pianos.
