I bought the alesis trigger IO . I also bought the USB DM6 kit first. I am replacing the DM6 with the trigger IO because I can add more cymbals and I am using Easy Drummer. The USB DM6 kit came with a Alesis Real Hat Pedal. I plug the pedal into input number 3 on the Trigger IO and try to do the procedures on page 17 in the manual (Using Hi-Hat Pedals). I can’t get the hi hat to work properly. It just makes the foot sound and when I press down on the pedal it won’t close the hi-hat. The pedal works fine I tried it on the DM6. This stuff is all new to me. Am I hooking this up right? I connected the pedal to the trigger IO with a TS Cable and into input number 3. If any one out there has had this problem and fixed it let me know. You can find the manual for the Trigger IO at http://www.alesis.com/triggerio?tt=5 if this will help.

I plug the pedal into input number 3 on the Trigger IO …
Where did you plug the HiHat Pad in Alesis Trigger IO?
Normally the HiHat pad had to plug into input number 3! The pedal always should have been plugged into input number 9 !
You will see this in the diagram on page 3 of your Alesis manual.
Im an idiot. I plugged the pedal in the wrong input. Thanks for your help.
