    Hi,

connecting the TD-3’s to an external USB MIDI interface should work fine, provided you know how to set up both with separate MIDI note assignments.
Recording MIDI notes onto separate MIDI Tracks in Pro Tools is not possible but I don’t see why you would need to either.
If you must have some of the MIDI data separated, there are functions for such operations in Pro Tools.
I think you are more interested in the separate microphone fader outputs from the Superior 2 RTAS plugin, right?
Those 16 Stereo/32 Mono outputs can e.g. be routed to Aux tracks while composing and then you can Bus these to Audio Tracks if you wish to record to Audio. Better still is to use the Superior 2 internal Bounce function to render the recorded MIDI data into full bleed Audio tracks.

    Best Regards,
    John

I will be setting the midi up in sd-2 and sending the drums tracks from sd-2 chanels out to seperate tracks in pro tools.
    That will work right?
