Just started using EZDrummer, and am contemplating my next kit. I’m looking for something along the lines of Phil Collins’ – not the gated stuff he made famous in the 80’s, but the pre-Abacab sound, with those nice tight high toms. Any suggestions?
Never really listened to Phil Collins much. But the Metal Foundry has a “Tama Imperialstar 1975 small” kit that has some tight high toms. I used it recently doing some Neil Peart kinda sounding stuff. Hope that helps.

You can also pitch up the toms and save it as a preset.
Use your ears though because if you get carried away they can sound like a cheap disco percussion synth.
Later.

That sounds promising…yep, Peart, another guy with an ample selection of hi toms
