I was happy with the drum sounds on SD but do not have a MIDI editor with my DAW. Prerecorded loops are absolutely useless to me. I have to have a way to make my own grooves.
People new to MIDI might not understand that you can’t make your own grooves in SD. Toontrack should either make that clear or have a MIDI editor with SD. Preferably the latter.
I’ll buy it then!
It’s clear on the product pages you are required to have a host (where incidentally midi can be organised, edited and self composed), or else use a product like Solo for real time playing.
I’m sympathetic to your problem, but in the end I couldn’t substitute realistic drum sounds, or midi created by real players for an older model drum machine.
Am I having Deja Vu?
