So later in the week i am going by a new friends house, he has a copy of both Metal Foundry (Superior Drummer 2.0) and Fruity Loops 9.
I have a bunch of drum tracks recorded in Guitar Pro 6 and saved as midi, he told me there was some way to take those midi files and import them into fruity loops and have superior drummer samples replace the midi samples?
The unfortunate part is he has no idea how to do any of this
Does any one know if this indeed is “possible”, and if so what the process or steps are for doing this?
I would like to buy Superior Drummer for my self and eventually not be a total recording noob
Thanks for your help guys!
sure, you can export MIDI files from GP6, and import them into FruityLoops. Fruity Loops would then act as a ‘VST host’ to access EZdrummer. Both MIDI import and VSTi insert procedure is described in the Fruity Loops manual, and that should be your first reference document.
… if there are any questions after that, your friend should come on here and ask these questions in the section dedicated to the official support, which only registered users can access. Thus to make sure we can spend our resources helping legitimate users and provide the best support possible 😉
