ezdrummer v 1.2.1
When I play (audition) the cymbals via the drum-set GUI, the two crash cymbals ring out for along time. But, when I manually enter a Cymbal Note in the midi sequence, the cymbal only plays for a very short duration and then chokes down. What’s causing this? What’s the fix for this?
thanks,
any answers for this?? for the life of me I can’t figure it out. I’ve basically not used any of the cymbals from SD 2.0 since I purchased it. thanks for any help.
ok, figured it out….turn off the envelope for the instrument (cymbal) OR set it to note off and make sure your midi note is as long as you want your sustain to be.
So I tried Judson’s remedy and got very excited because it made sense…but unfortunately it didn’t change anything. Still the cymbal was getting choked.
I then however found that when I looked to the right of where you select the cymbal/instrument, you can also find which articulations are loaded. For me, both “Crash” and “mute Hit” were loaded. I deactivated “Mute Hit” and voila the cymbal sustained!
