Topic: DTXtreme IIs latency/sensitivity problem!

Upon first installing EZD and DFH my Yamaha DTXtreme IIs was communicating with the software but was slightly off time. After increasing to the highest latency setting in DFH I finally rested at 64, and everything seemed to match up, until I tried getting familiar with loading it in ADOBE AUDITION 3. I first tried it in REAPER and it loads effortlessly but after messing around with it in AA3 I have about a 1.2 to 1 sec delay when striking the pads? I was running 300Ghz processor with 1GB of RAM through Behringer FCA202 interface and thought it was memory so I just installed another GB. Even reinstalled the software with no improvement in latency. For several days I have been searching the web for help and have only surfaced a host of variables as to why EVERYTHING is working PERFECTLY except the latency! It was odd as I thought maybe I should give it another go in REAPER so I loaded a virtual track and the timing “seemed” to improve a bit but not where it should be?!! I’m pulling my hair out at this point; so close but sooo far away!
It should be noted that when I begin at slow tempos it seems to match up but when I increase in speed I also tend to get double triggerings as well? And only at the last beat it seems? Like one extra beat? This makes me think it was settings in the module to which I played with velocity and level settings that also didn’t correct the problem! I have read countless posts of people getting these two utilites to work together and vids on youtube of people playing flawlessly in time so why not me?? I HAD it working so I know it is possible, but what got jacked up is anyone’s guess! It’s the final link to my ultimate drum sound and set up!
If I can get this latency prob fixed I will be eternally grateful and off to the land of pure heavy metal bliss!
