Hello,
I would like to know if a training/mute Cymbal or Hihat with piezzo could working as well the PFOZZ 3Z Cymbal system ?
Thanks
Well, my teacher gave me a 14″ plastic training cymbal, I just had to set a piezo under it and connect to my Yamaha brain with a 1/4″ mono jack – and presto, a single zone secondary crash! 🙂
Hi air-v,
Blaufeld’s solution will work for a single zone cymbal.
A plastic cymbal is very noisy, though and you can dampen it with the bitumen tape trick.
If you plan to build a a 3Z cymbal from a plastic training cymbal, then THEORICALLY, it should work…
But I haven’t tested this solution myself (I should, actually).
Best regards,
PFozz

Works very well for a real cymbal, so I think the same for a plastic one…
