Hi everyone. After approximately 8 Hours of reading , testing and holding my head im not getting any further.
My Problem:
Im using Cubase SX3 and i want to create Drumtracks with my Roland TD-12. I started Cubase and chose 16 Track Midi as Project Type. After that ive loaded Superior Drummer 2 as VSTi and set My Phonic Firefly 302 as input and SD2 as output. I tried Channel Settings with Channel 1 and all Channels in the MIDI01 Track , both settings lead me to this: I hear sounds while playing but when i playback my recorded stuff , the only thing i get is a beat of every Trigger i played at the same time and nothing more afterwards…
My aim is to make a record the stuff i play as midimap and quantize my “out of time” strokes. Afterwards i want to record it as an audio track. Because im doing the drum recordings for our bands first album.
I hope you can help me…
Best regards
Does your performance look OK in Cubase after recording, as in running across multiple bars – as long as your song in other words.
Also do you have any quantization on the track as you record your performance? I would take any unnecessary ‘real-time’ MIDI mangling function and correct the timing when you are done recording in any case.

Thank you for your comment, Rogue. Its strange but my problem solved itself after retrying today… There wasnt any Problem. The Notes where set and have been played back perfectly. I feel really reliefed. But thank you for you answer =)
Allright , i have to take my last comment back…. I did 3 recordings and deleted the Block in the Miditrack every 3 times. When i recorded the 4th “block”, the problem returned: Again all triggers i hit where played and after that, nothing more. How can i watch the performance , you talked about , Rogue?
the so-called piano roll, or MIDI/drum editor will allow you to visualize the recorded events on a timeline.
If all are stacked on top of one another then your problem is most definitely at the recording stage. If not it could be a track parameter affecting playback but I can’t think of what would be creating this so my take is that you’ll find yourself in scenario 1. As to the cause, you’ll have to investigate.

After some more researches ive found the answer to my Problem! Someone ( with a midi keyboard ) had the same problem and another user said , the only thing he has to do is to put on the system clock in the … dont know the menu in englisch… ive got the german one. Its where you choose your ASIO Driver… the Device Options or Preferences i guess. Now everything works damn great!
