Can anyone help me to find the various ways to connect my e-drums to may Mac? I have a basic starter kit at the moment (OSP DD502) and an iMac using Garageband.
Can I connect directly from the line out or do I have to buy a midi/audio interface for a better/more versatile sound input?
I would like to use either EZ Drummer or Superior Drummer as a Garageband plugin eventually, but not until I get accustomed to using the kit first.
Thanks for any help.

Yeah, both of you guys would benefit from an audio interface if you are going to go the VST route and you want to hear them in real time. You just run the midi out of the module to the midi in on the interface. Run the VST in Solo or a host for recording. Connect monitors or headphones to interface.
Of course there is a learning curve but worth it once you get everything all set up.
