Hi,
In Superior 2.1 I want to replace the hi hat of the loaded Vintage Rock Kit from EZ drummer with the Hi Hat from the NY Avatar Kit since it works a whole lot better within an E drum setting. I create an X drum, change the X Drum instrument to NY Avatar Hats. My problem is the mapping does not come over from the Ny Avatar preset.
Is there a way to do what I want to do without having to manually map the hi hat?… as it is a bit complicated to map and the “data” already exists and works perfectly when I call up the NY Avatar Kit preset and choose one of the Pedal correction Presets.
I tried the “steal default” option but it did not work. The varying degrees of openness did not work when I did this.
Thanks,
Dave
have you tried ‘steal current’? I would have to try this exact example to be sure though because both should work equally well.

rereading your post, if you are using edrums (and starting with the E-drums preset) all relevant articulations should be migrated to the X-Hats ‘Hatstrig’ and ‘Hatstiptrig’… and trying your scenario yields exactly what I’d expect.
So you’ll have to clarify the steps you are taking and in what way the result differs from what you expect.
