Hi, Thanks for supplying this forum. I just got EZDRUMMER on my Laptop with WindowsXP and am using it with a Yamaha DTXpress kit as triggers. I would like to be able to record my band live using it into a Roland VS-2480 digital recorder as a stereo pair. I am experiencing latency which will not allow this to happen. My laptop has a Soundblaster Audigy2 ZS PCMCIA card and I am using an E-MU midi-USB cable for connections. I have set the latency on EZD to the lowest.
Do you think it is the soundcard that is the problem? Does anyone have a similar set up that they recommend? I am new to this and I love the sound that i’m getting from EZD as compared to the original Yamaha module. Please help me get this to work.
Thanks
Yes, for the best latency performance, a soundcard that supports ASIO drivers is your best bet. Some users have found success with using this: http://www.asio4all.com/

Thanks. The manual for the card said ASIO on it, but it wasn’t a very expensive card.
Under Audio > Audio Devices in Toontrack Solo, which device do you have selected?

Again, I’d recommend trying the ASIOforall link and seeing if that doesn’t improve things. Since the Soundblaster cards are more for basic audio needs, I’d also recommend looking into a more professional soundcard. There are alot of options from RME, M-audio, etc.

I just downloaded the asio4all and it works much, much better. Thanks for your help, Scott!
