Hello,
My name is Johan and I’m from the Netherlands.
I’m new to this forum and to the world of triggering samples by using an electronic drumkit. I hope somebody will help me through the process of getting my system to work properly.
I’m using a Roland TD-20, a MacBook and Superrior Drummer 2.0 (and, I have to warn you, no experience at all with any of this. I never worked with a Mac or Supperior Drummer so I will be asking a lot of stupid questions. Sorry…)
My first problem is that I can hear sounds when I tap the drumkit by clicking it with the mouse, but I can’t get my TD20 to trigger the sounds. I have installed the drivers for the Edirol UM-2 usb/midi interface that I’m using, but when I check the menu “midi” at the top of the screen I get the error message: ‘No midi device available’
Where do I start to solve this problem?
I hope one of you will have the patience to help me out. I would be very thankful.
Thanks,
Johan.
This is a bit late (just saw your thread) and I hoped you worked it out.
It sounds like you needed to reinstall the midi drivers.
Don't worry, this won't hurt a bit...
